ImpacTech and UCLan Cyprus sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

MoU between Impact Tech and UCLan Cyprus formalises an ongoing and productive cooperation that will provide a cutting-edge technology environment for students to further their skills and shape the future with intelligent solutions

Impact Tech and UCLan Cyprus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the University’s modern facilities on September 11, 2018. The MoU provides the framework for cooperation between Impact Tech and the University in applied experience and student work placements.

Impact Tech’s CEO Georgios Larkou and UCLan Cyprus’ Rector Professor Panikkos Poutziouris signed the agreement. Also present were Impact Tech’s CTO Giorgos Nikolaides, Director of R&D Marios Mintzis, Creative Director Achilleas Achilleos alongside UCLan’s Lecturer in Computing Dr. Paris Kaimakis and Corporate Development Manager Loucas Alambritis.

During the signing, Georgios Larkou highlighted many of the benefits of the MoU for Impact Tech. One benefit is access to some of Cyprus’ most talented students who regularly demonstrate their excellence academically and through research. Professor Panikkos Poutziouris echoed Mr. Larkou’s endorsement of the cooperation adding that he would like to see the arrangement between Impact Tech and UCLan Cyprus widen so that the innovations developed might offer even greater value to society as a whole.

Before signing the MoU, both Impact Tech and UCLan Cyprus had already collaborated through the provision of work placements and that one of the University’s students was already employed by Impact Tech at their office in Limassol. The MoU creates the platform for further cooperation including Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and research programs.
